Happy New Year.
Many men either through aging or by hereditary get bald. Male baldness is related to genes and male sex hormones. It usually follows a pattern of receding hairline and hair thinning. By age 35, two-thirds of North American men will have some degree of appreciable hair loss and by age 50 approximately 85% of men have significantly thinning hair. Many men seek hair transplant treatment and hair growing formulas and then some use toupees and hair pieces to cover their baldness.
I have discovered however that baldness is not too bad and actually has many advantages. Here is my list of seven great benefits. See if you agree with me.
- Aerodynamic: If you love cycling, baldness improves your aerodynamic. Every little bit helps.
- Sun and wind: For those who enjoy driving convertible cars, there is no need to wear a cap. Enjoy the sun and wind with no hat!
- Savings: Baldness means no visits to the barber and no need for shampoo and conditioner. Savings over many years can add up to some decent amounts that can now be re-directed to other fun budget categories.
- Safety: With no hair, nobody can pull your hair and if your partner was a hair puller, that would come to an end.
- Aging signs: Most men with age lose their original hair color and their hair becomes gray. While the bible says, “the gray hair represents a life well lived and is a sign of wisdom”, (Proverbs 20:29) baldness means no gray hair that advertise your age. You can keep the wisdom without the gray hair.
- Innocence: Any hair found in your bathroom or elsewhere for that matter, by definition is not yours!
- Attractive look: Most women, I am told, are attracted to young soccer players, especially if they are Italians. Well, many Italian soccer players are bald. While you may not be athletic, or young, or Italian, you get one out of four points and you might be able to memorize few Italian phrases that could help boost your score!
Enjoy every day with much hair, little hair, or no hair. Happy New Year.
